3 Ways to be Effortlessly Classic

I’ve been really into classic fashion lately.  Maybe it’s because I’m a girl on a budget and I need to be tactful about choosing pieces that I can get a lot of use out of, or maybe it’s because I’m going through a Jackie Kennedy obsession right now. Who knows? Ask Nathan how many times I’ve said ” O-M-G this is so Jackie Kennedy” while we’ve been out shopping. He makes so much fun of me! Anywho, I really think that ever since I noticed in my fashion magazines how polished the looks are this season, I’ve been obsessed (blog post about it, here).

I think that when people see women dressing really classy, they automatically assume they are wealthy and are wearing really expensive clothes. Which could totally be true, but I think you can pull off just as a classic of a look without spending a lot of $$$. You just have to be smart and resourceful! Keep on reading to see 3 ways YOU can be effortlessly classic. Jackie Kennedy will be so proud of you. 😉

Classic Blue Blazer + Gold Buttons

In my opinion, the most effortlessly classic piece of fashion ever created has to be a navy blue blazer with gold buttons. Wear it to work, wear it with jeans, and it always makes you look like you’re really pulled together, even if you’re not! I have always had a love for J.Crew fashion. However, their prices can be a little steep so I always shop them on sale. I got this blazer on major sale for $60 + it’s amazing quality. I highly recommend the Rhodes because it has such a flattering fit and is very warm! If you’re looking to spend the least amount of money as possible, I recommend finding a blue blazer from a thrift store or Target, purchase a pack of gold buttons and take them to a tailor to have them sown on. It’s really cheap + you’ll get the same look! Just for reference I tried on the J.Crew factory blazer I linked above that’s under $100, and it’s also very flattering just not as warm and heavy as the Rhodes.

Monogram Necklace

Honestly, what’s more classy these days than a monogram necklace? Nothing. The answer is nothing. Sorry Jackie, but pearls just aren’t the classy accessory anymore. I never leave the house without wearing my monogram. Even when I’m not dressed up, this accessory gives me an effortlessly classy vibe, and makes me feel a little more put together! My monogram is from Shop Julia Marie and is linked above, along with a couple of other options in lower price ranges.

Classic Handbag

Every girl needs a classic everyday handbag. I love my Rebecca Minkoff mini love bag because it’s simple and the gold chain is the perfect touch. This is probably the most important piece because it’s the most noticeable piece you wear everyday and the most fun to pick out! I’m becoming quite the handbag junkie and it’s not good. Here, is another option that on super sale right now that I couldn’t link below.

I linked several options below at every price point for you guys!

How do you stay effortlessly classic?
