Winter. It’s that time of year where everything is just so….dry! From our skin to our hair, we load up on products like lotions and hair oils to keep our bodies as moist as possible. However, i’ve recently been trying some new products with cold pressed oil that have completely changed my hair + skin routine this winter! P.S. No i’m not adding more products to your routine…I’m replacing some! Today I’m chatting about the new Nature Box™ 100% Cold Pressed Apricot Oil line + some tips for keeping your hair and skin healthy this winter!
What’s Cold Pressed Oil?
The Nature Box line features oils extracted from the heart of fruits and nuts by a process called cold pressing. Cold pressing oils involves using pressure, without using excessive heat, so that the natural oils are released from the ingredients. NO chemicals are added and they are not refined or processed! Just 100% cold pressed oil.
Nature Box hair and body care products are vegan, and are free from: sulfates, silicones, parabens, and artificial colorants.

One. Dry Your Hair Before You Leave the House (Bonus Points if you Air Dry it!)
A former hair dresser of mine educated me on this, and thank the lord she did! i used to leave with wet hair in college all. the. time. and I never knew how bad it was for my hair. You never want to leave your house with wet hair when its cold outside, and not just because it can make you sick! (not sure if that’s really true or not) Very cold air can have a real damaging effect on your wet hair and can actually cause it to break off. Air dry (if you can) or at least blow dry it in the mornings before you leave!
Two. Wash Your Hair Only 2 Times a Week.
I feel like its no secret anymore that drugstore shampoos really aren’t that great for your hair. They are full of chemicals and parabens and it drys your hair out! The Nature Box™ 100% Cold Pressed Apricot Oil shampoo + conditioner is a literal dream. After a few uses I noticed shinier and softer hair… and I wasn’t even needing to use my other products! The oil keeps your hair extremely moisturized without making it oily, so you won’t need any other products.

Three. Get Your Humidifier Out!
If you aren’t using a humidifier right now, get one and your life will be changed! Humidifiers bring moisture to the air so you don’t wake up in the morning feeling so dry. Your skin (and throat) will thank you! I like to use the Nature Box oil shine spray in the mornings to give my skin a healthy glow. Trust me, it’s not like other oils you’ve put on your skin… This one is so light on your skin, but moisturizes so well. You won’t be looking like your about to compete in a bikini competition, promise.

Four. Cut Back on Heat Styling Tools
You knew this one was coming… While heat styling tools are never “good” for your hair, you definitely want to try and steer clear of them in the winter because it will just add to the dryness. If you’re washing your hair only twice a week, only use your heat styling tools twice a week! Embrace your natural hair…or wear a cute beanie?
Five. Invest in a Nature Beauty Box!
Truly! It has everything you need. You don’t need to spend $100+ at a beauty store buying products to keep your hair and skin healthy this winter. I’ve only been using the Nature Box Shampoo, Conditioner, and body oil and my skins dryness has dramatically improved + my hair looks so shiny and healthy.
For all of the online shopping lovers out there….you can order these products easily from Amazon!
Do you think you’ll try Nature Box?
