Hey friends! It has been way too long since I have posted. Honestly, throughout quarantine I was just not feeling creative at all, but I’m happy to be getting back into writing again. I’ve truly missed it!
Today we are chatting all about a clean water based foundation that in my humble opinion is worth all the hype. Tarte’s SEA Water Foundation with SPF 15 just might have replaced my Estee Lauder Double Wear. Bold words. I know.
My biggest regret is that I didn’t pick this up like 4 years ago when it first came out.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I have been slowly switching to using more clean beauty products for the past couple of years. I’ll be the first to admit that it is really hard to completely change all of your products over. It’s tough to find clean products that perform the way you want them to! Foundation is one of the hardest clean products to find that measures up to the silicone based ones we all know and love, which is why I’m so excited to finally be sharing a clean foundation that is just as good if not better than the other “non-clean” foundations on the market.

Key Product Highlights:
- Water based – retains skins natural moisture
- Dropper applicator
- Contains marine plants – reduces the appearance of fine lines while blurring the skin
- Contains Vitamin E – healthy antioxidant
- Clean Beauty Product
- 12-Hour Wear
- Works with all skin types
- $39
- 30 shades
Initial Thoughts: blurring, does not settle into fine lines, feels lightweight, little product goes a long way, love the applicator, gives medium coverage, moisturizing, lasts 8+ hours, natural finish, and covers redness
Overall Thoughts:
This is absolutely a new holy grail foundation for me. It’s hydrating without being oily, and it provides a great medium coverage without being heavy. It’s an ideal everyday foundation as it hides my redness and acne scars beautifully.
A little bit goes a long way with this product! I feel like I use less, however the only con is that this only lasts me about 8 hours before my oil starts to come through. If I have to go anywhere important after work I do blot with a powder.
What clean foundations are you currently loving?!
xo, Rach
