No better way to start off a blog post than with a bathroom mirror selfie right? I’d take a heck of a lot more of these if all bathrooms had gold hardware AND gold trash cans, marble counters, and chandeliers! I went to visit my husbands family in Indiana this past weekend, boys stayed home, so of course that meant we were going shopping. I was excited because I had never been shopping in Carmel, but I had heard the boutiques are amazing! I’m sure we didn’t go everywhere Carmel had to offer, but here are all of the fun things we did…starting with lunch!
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers

Okay. If you are a woman who loves pretty things and dreams about being a French girl sitting outside a cafe eating cake and french pressed coffee for a living, then you 100% have to visit at some point in your lifetime. If that doesn’t convince you, the fact that it’s on Oprah’s “O” list should!
I was amazed at the beautiful details of the shop. The pictures do not nearly do it justice. While the outside is stunning, immediately when you walk in you are surrounded by huge crystal chandeliers, marble flooring, and flower and greenery vines on the walls.
We got to sit on the covered patio for lunch. It was such a pretty view! We sat up against a gorgeous picture window that overlooked Carmel City Center. I ordered Gwendolyn’s famous Cosmopolitan, and a salad (basic), and a slice of raspberry cake! The drinks and food were amazing, but it’s the dessert that set it apart. They even had a little shop you could purchase baking supplies (I picked up a really cute set of pink spatulas!) and a counter where you could order coffee or a dessert to go. Seriously, this place is a must go!
Boutiques at Carmel City Center
Bath Junkie
This was a really cute shop for bath products! You could make your own body lotion and face masks. They even had cute pajamas and other fun things! Lots of great ideas for gifts especially with the holidays coming up.
Linden Tree Gifts
Linden Tree is a really cute and unique shop! It was probably my favorite. They had everything from home decor to clothing. I enjoyed looking at what they had because it isn’t the same things you see everywhere else. Lots of unique gift ideas! If you’re a fan of Brass Horn Too in Decatur, it’s similar!
Beauty and Grace
If you like high fashion edgy designer pieces, this is the boutique for you! I looooved everything they had in their store. They had lots of cute weekend going out clothes.
Addendum
Addendum is where I almost lost my marriage. LOL. Just kidding. In all seriousness, if you take a lot of pride in decorating your home and entertaining guests you will find so many gorgeous pieces in this boutique! They carry a few brands of crystal, Nora Fleming, and my personal favorite, Mackenzie Childs! I could have looked around in there all day.
Nine + Roxy
Nine + Roxy is for the bohemian in all of us who also appreciate handmade goods. They had a lot of unique pieces of art, plants, jewelry, and home decor! You could tell a lot of love and talent went into each and every piece in the shop. Also a great place for unique gifts!
Coffee Break
Hubbard and Cravens
Obviously, you’ll need a coffee break in-between all of your shopping so a stop at Hubbard and Cravens is a must! Easily some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I ordered my usual Iced Vanilla Latte and it was SO good. They also had juices that looked amazing, too!
Hope you spend a day in Carmel Indiana soon! It doesn’t disappoint.
