We are still in Valentines Day mode over here at TSR. This is one of my favorite holidays because it gives me the perfect excuse to dress in head to toe pink 😉 but I understand you guys may not want to do that so I wanted to give you something different thats also a little bit more casual! Hope you enjoy this inspo!
I love this red blouse from the A New Day Collection at Target. Definitely my favorite collection of theirs ever, aside from the Lilly collection a few years back. It’s fashionable yet so affordable! I picked up this red top a while ago, when I was color coordinating my closet and realized I barely had any red. It’s one of my favorite shirts for work + play! I’m a sucker for a clean classic blouse.
Another note, let tell tell you that I would never think to pair a bold pink + red together. If you aren’t used to pairing colors like this, it can be really intimidating. After researching the Spring 18′ NYFW trends though I saw that red + pink combos are going to be hot this year, so I thought I’ll just try it! I loved the result, surprisingly. If you want to see all the Spring 18′ trends there is a great article by Elle, here. There are some crazy trends on there, per usual, but I’m excited to play with some of them this season!
I also wanted to share with you guys some easy tips for elevating your V-day look in case you weren’t wanting to purchase a whole new outfit this year.
Easy Tips for Elevating Your V-day Look
- Sort through all of your red + pink tops and bottoms and see if there is anything that you can pair together
- Red or pink lipstick is a great way to add some V-day flair to your outfit regardless of what you’re wearing (think LBD with a hot red lip, so cute!)
- Red or pink accessories (think jewelry, belts, or handbags)
- Paint your nails pink or red. I just painted mine in the Essie color “double breasted jacket” perfect cross between a pink + red!
What are you wearing for Valentines Day this year?
