Galentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays! Aside from the fact that I get to decorate my home in pink and red, I love getting to celebrate my love for my family and friends. Because I love to throw a party, last year, I thought it would be fun to do a little “Galentine’s Day” with the closest women in my life. We rarely did anything just us girls, so it was the perfect excuse to ditch the boys and drink cocktails and chit chat. It was such a blast that immediately after I was given the blessing and expectation to host Galentine’s Day every year. Because my mother and mother-in-law both also love to host and are very good at it, there’s zero chance I will be taking over Christmas or Thanksgiving anytime soon, so I’ll gladly be in charge of Galentine’s Day!
We’ve been in our home almost two and a half years now and even though I haven’t been able to entertain as much as I have wanted to (thanks COVID!) I have learned a lot from the few parties I’ve been able to host. One of those lessons being, never try out a new recipe on your guests at a party and never get dressed until right before your guests show up and do some type of run through ahead of time. Okay, that’s like three lessons, but hey they are all important!

Throwing a Great Galentine’s Day Party
Let me say that in order to throw a great Galentine’s Day Party you do not need to spend a ton of money or do something super elaborate. Especially when we are talking about a brunch style party. Doing brunch is super budget friendly and your guests will love it because…. mimosas and other brunch-ey cocktails. 🙂
Galentine’s Day Decor
Every great party is well decorated to coincide with the theme. I have found that Target has had the best and most budget-friendly items for my Galentine’s Day Party. I found my pink heart plates, wine glasses, treat boxes and table runner from Target. I paired them with items I already had like my clear vases, woven chargers and and cake stand to create the perfect tablescape!
Let’s talk for a moment about how dessert centerpieces do not get enough attention or credit. I mean what’s better than a centerpiece that can be eaten? I paired my dessert with a vase on each side with a variety of flowers I found at Kroger. If you have one in your area, they have a great selection!

What to Serve
I am really excited about my menu for this year’s party. I have found that providing options that cover sweet, savory and salty create the perfect plate. Here’s what I’m serving!
- Cream cheese stuffed French Toast with Berry Compote
- Egg Bites
- Bacon
- Angel Food Cake for dessert
I also love to give a little something to take home so the bags at each place setting will have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in them. No Valentine’s theme there, just something yummy and warm to have later!

Cocktails
I personally like to serve two different drinks/cocktails at a party. For Galentine’s Day, I’ll do mimosas with brunch, since the french toast is on the sweeter side. After brunch, I’m serving a raspberry rose to go with the angel food cake. If you’ve never had raspberry rose it’s very good and super easy! It’s just a scoop of raspberry sorbet with rose poured on top. It’s pretty sweet, but so good for a dessert!
- Valentine’s Day Bar Cart (Coming Soon!)
I hope you’re Galentine’s Day celebration is a success!
