I’M BAAAAAACK! + it feels so so good! I have missed blogging so much over the past several weeks, but with the big move to Chicago, end of the semester craziness, vacation, and the holidays, my life has been nothing short of a wild ride lately. Feeling blessed and thankful however these are the stresses I have been dealing with lately. While we are still at home spending time with our families, (we don’t go back to Chicago until the 1st), Nate and I both can’t help but get some work done from home. I couldn’t wait to get back with you guys! As for Nate, he’s just a workaholic and loves his job so much that he works while he’s on vacation. I admire his dedication and it’s rubbing off on me.
Also, I had the best Christmas I ever had this year. I got to wake up to the smell of bacon cooking Christmas morning and spend it with my mom and sister opening presents and just hanging out. My mom gets my sister and I matching pj’s every year and it’s become one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Don’t mind the fact that I’m 23 and she’s 17. I think my favorite gifts I got this year were my bar cart, crockpot, and other things for our new home. I think I’m finally to that age where I get excited about getting kitchen appliances for the holidays. Anyone else?! Never thought I would say it, but here I am and let me tell ya, getting a fancy crockpot is something to be excited about. No sarcasm. I also got to spend my first Christmas with Nathan and his family and it was so wonderful! We drank mimosas and hung out in the afternoon. Lastly, I got to see my dad! My dad has always worked on Christmas day in the past and this year he had the day off so I was really happy I got to spend some time with him and my Grandpa. Sitting around my Grandpas table listening to them tell stories are some of my favorite moments.
I’m done babbling now, I just had so much to catch up on with you all!
So, you’re wondering, what is this new beauty product must have I’m dying over? I was given the Black Mask from Revision Skincare to try out and honestly wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. I wasn’t even going to write a blog post on it. Not only am I obsessed with the product but I am convinced to try more of their products. Revision Skincare products are formulated in Dallas, TX and aims at enhancing the skins appearance and reducing the signs of aging (it’s never to early to start an anti-aging regimen). The brand focuses on producing quality products that deliver REAL benefits.
I have had some major problems with the pores on my skin for a while now. I have an even larger problem cleaning them out. I know that is so gross, but I’m just being real! The Black Mask is for deep-cleaning the skin, aka those pesky dirty little pores, and making your skin look soft and smooth. I have tried so many masks like this and have had luck with only 1 other product besides this one. The secret to this product is the Freshwater Silt. Freshwater Silt is made up of sediments that have accumulated over thousands of years and beneficial organic materials, minerals, and humic acid. This ingredient has been shown to be extremely effective in absorbing impurities from the skin. This product can be used on oily and dry skin. My skin has been quite dry lately, and I have had no sensitivity issues!
This mask has done wonders at cleaning out my pores. I left it on for 20 minutes then washed it off with warm water. I can’t use a towel to wash it off because it can stain, so you have to be really careful not to get it on your clothes or anything. While it hasn’t cleaned out absolutely everything, it brings what hasn’t been cleaned out to the surface so I can easily get it out myself. I have gone without makeup for a few days to allow my pores time to shrink down to normal size. Tip: Rub an ice cube over your pores to help them shrink quickly.
I’ve used this mask twice now and am loving my results! I am so eager to try more of their products in the future. Skin care is so important to me! Go to their website – link here to find out where you can find this mask. The products are only sold through plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and spas. It may not be easy to get your hands on depending your area, but I promise it’s worth it! If you would like more information about the mask link is here.
