12 Fall Staples You Need in Your Closet
Life Update: I want to start off with life update today so if you want to skip this part I totally get it, just skip to the next paragraph! I have had a lot of people reach out to me about our apartment hunt lately, so I wanted to give you guys an update. Finally, we found a condo! Yay! The lease is signed and we move in on October 1st! We will still be living in the loop, and are actually just moving a few blocks South. I’m really excited because this unit couldn’t be more perfect. I will actually have my very own washer + dryer! It’s the little things, haha. On top of that we also will have a gorgeous patio, which I’m very excited to decorate and spend many Fall nights on! It’s very hard to find those things in Downtown Chicago at an “affordable” price, so I’m feeling very blessed and thankful. I’m very excited to get moved in and do a little redecorating. 😉 Of course, this is my busiest work month of the year as well as his, so the packing process is going to be a fun one! I’m seeing lots of takeout + late nights in our future. I’ll be sharing more details along the way!
Now on to the shopping!
It might be a tad early, but I am so excited for Fall that I wanted to share my Fall staples with you guys now! To me, there’s nothing better than a cozy sweatshirt, warm coffee, boots, a bonfire, + Fall air. I got an early start on my Fall shopping because I was so excited and found some seriously good deals!
The Tory Burch riding boots are marked down to $333 right now, so if you don’t have a pair of these yet, you need to snag them while you can! I recently picked up a fur shearling vest, and I wish I would have bought one of these sooner! I’ve never been much of a fur person + don’t feel that it looks that good on me, but a shearling vest is a perfect way to stay trendy without overdoing it! Leopard is also making a big comeback this Fall, and the Halogen leopard loafer is the hottest shoe this season! They sell out often and quick, so you have to keep your eye on them. It took me over a month to get them! I’ve also noticed a lot of the military style and color in my fashion magazines, which I love, because olive green is such a great Fall color that compliments everyone. Lastly, I picked up a Rebecca Minkoff cross body in olive, it makes a great neutral and goes with everything! I included a few other necessities that I felt make great staple items to have. I always try to focus on these every year, and THEN pick out a few super trendy pieces to throw in with them! Being a girl on a budget, I definitely have to pick and choose!
