My Obsession: Oversized Sweaters + Over the Knee Boots

Happy Tuesday, babes!

First things first, Chicago is COLD right now. Being from the Midwest anyways, cold weather is no stranger to me, but I am not used to the Chicago cold. With that being said, I have a story for you. I don’t currently have a pair of gloves, which is a must have in Chicago. I am super picky about anything I wear so it has taken me a while to find the perfect pair! The other night I was shopping online and found a super cute pink pair of gloves from Target that I loved. They were in-store only, so Nate and I decided to walk over to Target and pick them up. I am not that familiar with the Target set up here yet, so I literally walked around for forever trying to find them. Finally, I stopped to ask a worker where I could find the gloves. Her response? Oh I’m sorry, we don’t have any anymore. I’m sorry??? What??? She then continues to tell me how they are getting rid of their Winter accessories to make room for the swimsuits. It’s JANUARY people! It’s 0 degrees outside! Summer in Chicago isn’t going to be here for a while. I then stomped + pouted the whole way home and settled on ordering a pair of North Face gloves, probably for the best. Getting rid of gloves to make room for swimsuits……..pffft. #notoverit

ANYWAYS! On to my latest obsession: oversized sweaters + OTK boots. Since it’s so cold in Chicago right now, it’s hard to dress cute + warm at the same time. Disclaimer: I froze my tush off during this shoot. However, I have found a way to be comfortable for days Nate and I feel like getting out. OTK boots are so trendy right now, and surprisingly they help keep my legs warm! Talk about a two-fer! In addition, oversized sweaters are a longtime favorite of mine, because they are comfortable, can be styled several different ways, and are so warm! The gold jewelry + pink clutch just tied the whole look together.

How are you staying warm + stylish with the cold temps?

Girl! The cold is so bad. I am Chicago born and raised and I swear you will never get used to it LOL. You look amazing though even in these freezing temps.

Thanks so much, Lexi! I love the look of midi dresses and over the knee boots! Unfortunately it’s too cold in Chicago for that!
