Old Navy Mini Spring Try On Session

Old Navy Mini Spring Try On

Old Navy Mini Spring Try On Session

Hey friends! Today’s post is a little bit different in that I’m just posting pictures of me trying on clothes instead of an actual styled shoot, so bear with me! I am always trying to think of new ideas for you guys, so if this is something you like/don’t like let me know! I figured it might be nice to see a bunch of things at one time, plus figure out what’s worth it and what’s not. Old Navy’s quality is super hit or miss as well as their sizing, so stay tuned for my honest opinion on some of these pieces. HA! Hope you guys enjoy this post!

Old Navy Utility Shirt Dress

Let’s start this post off on a good note with my favorite piece that I tried on! I absolutely loved this utility dress. It was so comfortable and perfect length for me (I’m 5’5″). It does run large, so I had to size down to an xs, which I am wearing here. I love that it has a tie in the waist so it is easily adjustable. The quality of this is great, and will definitely get you through a few seasons. I would highly recommend grabbing this is you need a new casual weekend dress! Right now it’s on sale for $30.

Distressed Boyfriend Shorts //  Luxe Curved-Hem Tee

Let me just start off by saying that if you don’t own one of Old Navy’s luxe tee’s you. are. missing. out! Who would have thought that Old Navy would have one of the comfiest tees, but hey they do! I tried this on for fun, but loved how comfortable it was so it came home with me. Besides you can’t beat the price! It’s on sale for $12 right now so if you’re in the market for a few new tees, grab a few of these!

I also surprisingly liked these shorts. I normally can’t wear jeans or shorts from Old Navy because they feel so thin, stiff, and they never fit me right, but these work. I don’t love them, but that’s mainly because of the color. They didn’t have much in store in my size, so I was limited as to what I could try on! However, these are great for casual days. If you’re looking for an average pair of shorts, these are a great option! I am wearing a size 2 and these are on sale for $22 right now.

Relaxed Chambray Shirt // Mid-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans

If you don’t have a chambray shirt yet, this one is amazing! The material is good quality and I like the dark wash on it. It’s also a relaxed fit, which I personally like because I think it makes it easier to style different ways. This one is on sale for $20.

Now. Let’s start talking about what I don’t like about Old Navy. I just can’t with their jeans. I didn’t even want to post these pictures because I felt like they made my legs look so awful. I am a true size 2 or 26 in jeans, + I tried on the 2 in these and they didn’t fit. Tried on the size 4 they were almost just as uncomfortable as the size 2! These were just so thin, and I felt like they made my legs look so much bigger than they are. There was so no way I could spend an entire day suffocating in these! I know some people love Old Navy’s denim but they just don’t work for me. Save your $30 and put that towards getting a good pair of denim!

Classic Relaxed Striped Tunic

I really wanted to like this tunic, but I didn’t. The material was pretty thin and it was so boxy! Tunics to me are supposed to be drape and fall with your body shape and this one didn’t. or Maybe I’m just not a tunic person? It is on sale for $18 though!

So let’s just get the elephant out of the room right now. As we can see this tee is see through and you can see my bright pink bra underneath. Definitely should have worn a tank that day! Anyways, this tee is adorable! You’ll have to wear a tank under if unless you wear a white bra, but it’s worth the extra layer. I actually really liked all of the graphic tee’s they had sitting out. This one says “so on point”, so cute! I originally styled it with shorts, but I liked it much better tucked into my jeans. This tee is only $9! I’m all about the cute graphic tees this Spring. Unfortunately this one isn’t online yet, so I will link it later!

Other Pieces I Tried on but Didn’t Photograph:

Suede Knit Moto Jacket

This is the softest jacket I have ever worn! I honestly loved it, but it was way too big and they didn’t have an extra small. It’s only $50 and definitely worth going back for! Lilac is the pantone color for Spring, so this is super on trend!

Sleeveless Printed Linen-Blend Top

I went out on a limb and tried this top. It’s very different from anything I’ve ever worn. It was awful on me. It was so thin and very see through. The torso was also really short on and I don’t even have a long torso. Just all around bad!

Are you picking up any Old Navy pieces for Spring?

Thanks, Becca! I’m tempted to order the suede coat in a smaller size! It’s hard to find a jacket that comfortable!

I love this post and I love Old Navy! Their denim shorts are always my go tos– not too short, but not too long and the perfect stretch! Also, love your blog! #scsisterlove
