Simple Fall Transitional Style
Happy Labor Day, babes! I hope you all have been enjoying your long weekend, I know I have! Friday night we went to Lobsterfest at Navy Pier, which we were SO excited for, and it turned out not being all that great..BOO. Saturday we went to Shaw’s for their seafood brunch and it was AMAZING. I ate so much food the waitress came to our table just to ask me if I was okay. Embarrassing. Next time you’re in Chicago, you have to go there! The rest of the weekend consisted of a lot of football for Nate, shopping for me ;), and relaxing! It was all very much needed.
It wasn’t even six hours into September 1st and I had my entire closet cleaned out of my summer clothes. Call me thirsty, it’s true. I laid in bed planning Fall outfits, watching House Hunters, sipping chai tea, + watching the PSL birthing video Starbucks posted on their Facebook page. Wild Saturday night, guys! Anyways, as excited as I am for Fall, we aren’t quite there in terms of temp, so I decided to focus on some Fall transitional style. I’m usually an all or nothing kind of girl, but whatever.
Yesterday, I picked up this denim skirt from Forever21 because I felt like I was the only girl left on earth who didn’t own one of these. I figure this was the perfect time to get one because it’s great for summer, and makes a perfect Fall transitional piece. I paired it with a classic black long sleeve tee, and booties to give it a Fall vibe. Also, shoutout to this Rebecca Minkoff bag for being 50% off right now. Olive is super hot for Fall, so if you don’t have something this color yet, this is the perfect piece to get! Here is another really cute olive Zac Zac Posen bag I almost got, it’s under $100! My belt is from a cute little boutique in Wicker Park called, Pitaya.
I love this outfit because it’s so effortless and can easily be recreated using a different belt (leopard print?!), and different colors/styles of tees! I’ll probably change this up quite a bit because I’m lovin it so much it might become my weekend go-to. I heard it’s like blogger suicide to be an outfit repeater, but I’ll take the risk.
What are you wearing transitioning to the Fall season?
