Summer G l o w

When I found out Jaclyn Hill was doing a face palette collab with Becca I immediately knew that I was going to be getting it. I didn’t even care how much it cost. That’s true dedication, people.
I titled this, “Summer Glow” which literally is an understatement. My skin looks so fresh and it gives me the perfect highlight without making my face look oily. It’s more than just a glow!
Here’s my thoughts on the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette + another goody that I’m absolutely in love with for summertime! Also maybe get a snack or something because this is a long one.Basically if you don’t read anything in this post at least read what I’m about to say right now. This was the best $52 i’ve ever spent. Kind of dramatic but it’s that good. Life changing maybe. I’ll have to get back to you on that. The picture here doesn’t even do it justice. I opened this baby up for the first time and it’s like there were church bells ringing and a gospel song sung by the church choir playing in the background. Ok I’ll get serious now.
Honestly, there isn’t one shade in here that isn’t gorgeous. My favorite shade is the top far left, Rose Spritz. Doesn’t that just sound like something you want to put on your face? It already has a shimmer in it, so you don’t really Honestly, there isn’t one shade in here that isn’t gorgeous. My favorite shade is the top far left, Rose Spritz. Doesn’t that just sound like something you want to put on your face? It already has a shimmer in it, so you don’t really need a highlighter on top of it but since I’m a rule breaker I put Champagne Pop (bottom left) on top of it and guess what? It was perfect. My cheeks were on fleekkkkk all day long.
The middle shade on the top is a toasted almond blush in Amaretto, and I didn’t think it was going to look good on my beige skin tone but I was surprised by how natural it looked.  I like to pair it with the second highlighter, Prosecco Pop, a warm gold.
The top right shade, Pamplemoose, I cannot even take myself seriously saying that word, like why is that the name of a blush. Goodness. ANYWAYS, this shade really scared me. I mean look at it, it looks red in the picture. I don’t usually even think of shades like that, but new year new me so I tried and with a light hand it looks really good on!

All in all, I think this palette was well worth the money. If you didn’t get the chance to get this, you need to find a way because there’s nothing bad I could say about this palette. From the packaging to the actual product it’s gorgeous. The shades are pigmented, last all day, and compliment dry and oily skin tones. + look at all of the options?! Ladies who are getting married, this would look so pretty on your wedding day (in moderation of course). We don’t want you looking like a grease ball on your wedding day.
My only complaint: It’s limited edition. Now, to Part 2.
This palette came with a sample of Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter. I have pretty oil skin in the summer time so this isn’t something I would ever reach for myself because it has shimmer in it. However, since it was a sample I figured I had nothing to lose so I just tried it! I fell in love immediately. My skin has really been clearing up lately and it feels so nice to be able to show off nice clear skin. I put the primer on under my NARS Sheer Glow foundation. What I had when I was finished with my makeup was a gorgeous dewy, radiant, and healthy looking glow. This primer has blurring technology in it so I didn’t even notice my scars or any imperfections whatsoever. I was never someone who got compliments on their skin, but I’ve been using this primer all week and
I’ve received multiple compliments. Using this primer with the Champagne Glow palette on top, makes my skin looks flawless and that perfect summertime glow we all want to achieve. Spoiler: I’m getting the full size of this primer. What products are you using to get your favorite summertime glow? Thanks for reading!-Rach xo
