Whole 30: Week 2

Another day, another slay. Here’s my week 2 log!

Day 8: I still have no energy. I am totally wiped out by the end of the school day. It’s insane how tired I am. I am still drinking my black coffee, and still hating it. I have started to get a little more creative with what I eat. The crockpot has been saving my life! I found a salsa I can have so I really like eating that poured over chicken, and then I have leftovers all week! My cravings weren’t bad today. The only thing I wanted was to have a soda, but I didn’t do it! I quit drinking Diet Coke a few weeks before starting Whole30. I knew I needed to get rid of that before I started this program, and I’m so glad I did! I am still having digestion problems. I think my body is just getting used to the new way that I’m eating. Also, I am starting to get full easier, so no more eating a whole chicken in one sitting! I was really emotional today though. I took Nate to the airport early this morning because he has to work in Chicago for a few days. I cried like a little baby. He is probably counting down the days until I am done with this!

Day 9: I skipped breakfast today because I woke up late! Big mistake! I had leftover chicken for lunch and didn’t even eat all of it. It’s beginning to not take as much food to fill me up! I am still really craving iced lattes, but that’s really it right now! I also feel like I might be starting to regain some of my energy. My body is taking its sweet time getting used to this change! I’m also bloated today, that was a bit of a letdown, but I’m hoping it goes away in a few days!

Day 10: I ate my usual eggs for breakfast and chicken for lunch today. I feel like I am getting used to eating this way and my body is responding to it better. Days 10 and 11 are supposed to be the hardest and at first I didn’t feel that way but later into the afternoon I got some major sweet cravings. It never really stopped! I try really hard to keep myself occupied so I don’t sit around thinking about all the things I wish I could have.

Day 11: Today was hard again because it’s Saturday. Can’t go to brunch with Nate 🙁 can’t go out to dinner anything! I am used to fixing a lot of meals on the weekends and with me being on Whole30 our dinners have been a little boring lately. However, I made jalapeño burgers for dinner, and they were a hit! Nate always puts on a  good face when I cook Whole30 compliant, so I try to make things that he likes and I can eat!

Day 12: My body is starting to digest soooo much better, and I feel like I am starting to get a little more energy back. I can’t believe it’s taking so long! I craved sweets again really really bad today. 🙁 All I want to eat is ice-cream! I feel like it’s been so long since I have had sugar that my body is in total shock and screaming for it.

Day 13: I messed up big time today. I didn’t get enough sleep the night before and I didn’t eat breakfast. For lunch and dinner I had a big bowl of fruit. I was dragging all day long and I felt so weak, but I was stuck at school so there was nothing I could do about it. Pro tip: Always meal prep. I’m craving sweets again bad today!

Day 14: I am so excited that I am finally 2 weeks into this program! I have been noticing some great changes, and can’t wait to see what next week will bring. I have noticed how much healthier and dewy my skin looks. My acne on my back is almost completely gone as well as the acne scars on my face. Could just be a coincidence, but I think it’s because of my diet as well! I have been trying to get rid of these scars for a couple of years now. I felt good today, so I didn’t even wear makeup to school. I never do that!

I honestly can’t believe I’ve made it this far.
