Whole30: Week 3

Week 3 has been the best week for me yet! I wouldn’t say it’s getting easier, but I am definitely seeing results which is giving me the motivation to finish out my last week! Here’s some of the improvements I have noticed this week.

1. Cravings
I finally feel like I am in control of my cravings. I will think that I really want something, like ice cream, and then after a few minutes the craving passes and I realize I didn’t really want it that bad. While I feel like I am getting bored with my food, I still don’t feel the urge to want to snack in the evenings. This is huge for me because I would snack every single night before bed!

2. Weight
While loosing weight wasn’t a goal of mine when I started Whole30, noticing a change in the way my body looks has made me feel so much more secure. I don’t know how much I have lost, and I don’t plan on checking, but I can tell I am toning up and that just makes me feel good!

3. Skin
My skin has not experienced any breakouts, at all. I also have noticed that my acne scars are clearing up and my skin just has a nice glow! I don’t always feel the need to wear makeup anymore. It’s so nice to be fresh faced and feel good about it! I never realized the negative impact some foods can have on your skin.

4. Periods
Ladies, mother nature paid me a visit this month and guess what? No cramps. Literally none. I’m not even exaggerating. I never heard of this happening to someone during Whole30 so it wasn’t something I expected or hoped for, but I felt no pain whatsoever and that is amazing.

5. Dark circles
I have always had dark circles under my eyes, but I have noticed lately that they are getting so much lighter and less puffy! I can put up the concealer because they are at a point where they don’t really need it. It’s so weird to look at my face and them be almost invisible.

6. Feeling full
I feel like I am eating a lot less than I did before Whole30. I can eat a piece of chicken and a potato for dinner and be full for the rest of the night. Before, I would have most likely ate again before bedtime. This is great because, less snacking! (YAS)

7. Feeling motivated
I overall just feel a sense of motivation. I wake up in a good mood ready to tackle the day and I am so much more productive and focused than I was before.

I am excited to begin my last week of Whole30! I have already started thinking about what I am going to do when I finish? Part of me wants to eating nothing but Mexican food and ice-cream for a few days….but then again that probably defeats the purpose of me doing this, haha.

How do you keep up a healthy lifestyle?
