2019 has been a year for the books! As I plan out my goals for 2020 and reflect on 2019 I thought it would be a fun idea to share some of the best beauty products I tried and fell in love with throughout the year. After all, beauty posts are what started my blog and are still to date my most popular blog posts, so I thought you guys would enjoy this. While I tried many many products this year. I narrowed it down to my top 12 favorites. Enjoy!
Okay so technically this was a November 2018 beauty find, but because it’s one of those products I can’t live without I thought I could get by with including it in my 2019 favorites! I use this lip mask all year around. Before bed, as a gloss, even though it’s says lip mask you can totally wear it as an ultra moisturizing gloss during daytime. I put it on before bed most nights and wake up with perfectly moisturized and plump lips. I naturally have very thin lips and it gives me the perfect plumped pout. No lip injections needed!
I have a couple blog posts featuring the Laneige Lip Mask below:

Okay so this was also a 2018 find, but so good that I had to include it in 2019 because I talked about it so much this year. I promise this is the last 2018 find! This Tula cleanser is by far the best cleanser I have ever tried. I have tried many many cleansers for my oily acne prone skin and this one is the best overall for many reasons. They use probiotics as the base for all of their products which helps restore your skins natural balance and their products are 100% free from phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrolatum, gluten, and mineral oil, and are cruelty free. They use the best of the best of ingredients and leave out all of the other bad stuff. My skin has honestly never looked better.
I have a more detailed review of Tula products here (p.s. I am reviewing more Tula products now! so another review is coming):
I haven’t talked about this product too too much because it is a recent find, but the Milani Lip Glosses are incredible. I love them more than my high end lip glosses so that’s really saying a lot! I use the shade “soft rose” the most and it’s the perfect everyday lip gloss. It’s a neutral shade with brown and pink undertones so it’s really flattering. It’s also a plumping gloss which I love because I have thin lips! It’s $6 and 100% worth trying. I can’t get enough of it!
I really didn’t want to love this foundation because it’s $68, but, y’all i’m obsessed. It has an awesome shade range and is perfect for everyday as it’s a sheer to medium coverage foundation. It has the feel of a bb cream but the coverage of a foundation. It has this blurring effect to where your skin looks flawless while still looking natural and like your own skin. This foundation has a couple of ingredients that don’t normally agree too much with my skin but, they are not main ingredients so it hasn’t bothered my skin at all. I have a hard time finding a really good foundation so you know this is gooooood.
I did an in-depth review of the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation:
This daily peel is a skincare game changer. This has become one of my holy grail can’t live without skincare products. Basically, it’s a exfoliation peel you can use daily that instantly rejuvenates, smooths, and brightens your skin. My skin has never looked better or brighter and it’s largely due to this product!
I did an in-depth review on the Murad Replenishing Multi-Acid Peel:
As a dark brunette I have a hard time finding good dry shampoos that don’t leave my roots looking white. There are only two products I have discovered that don’t turn my roots white, John Frieda and IGK. Love John Frieda, but the IGK brand gives my hair the most incredible volume that looks like I just washed and styled it. It’s insanely good. Plus, it smells so fresh and clean! I am able to only wash my hair once a week thanks to this dry shampoo. It’s that good!
I recently picked up this palette after eyeing for a couple of months and I am so glad I did! The value is amazing and although it’s only 9 colors it’s easy to create many different looks with. I can make this work for daytime and transitioning to nighttime as the glittery colors are so fun to play around with! The shadows are very buttery and easy to blend so this makes a great foolproof eyeshadow palette for a beginner or advanced beauty guru. I’m not the best at eye makeup, but this palette makes it easy!
This is a mascara that debuted back in 2017, and sadly I just discovered it this year!! I normally don’t like to buy high end mascara because it’s something I have to repurchase every month and I think there are a lot of great drugstore mascaras but oh my gosh, this stuff is SO good! It reminds me of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but the Lancome one isn’t as wet or messy of a formula. It gives incredible volume, is super black, and doesn’t flake. I’m obsessed!
I have been using this Sunday Riley Clarifying Oil for a couple months now and recently started noticing some amazing results. I have struggled with hormonal adult acne for about 5 years now and recently in the past year or so have learned how to manage it and keep it under the control. The acne has left my skin with lots of red marks and scarring, which this product has helped clear up as well as prevents future acne from even starting. My skin is getting back to the point where I really only get a couple of breakouts during my period every month. If you’re struggling with adult acne you’ll want to give this a try! I have tried I can’t tell you how many different products to clear up my acne and scarring.
This is by far the best night cream I’ve tried yet! It’s an anti-aging lightweight night cream that leaves your skin feeling so refreshed, hydrated and radiant. My skin looks so good when I wake up in the morning! I naturally have really pink cheeks and when I apply this at night I wake up in the morning with just slightly pink cheeks, so if redness is something you struggle with you’ll love this!
I talk a little more about the Fresh Beauty Night Cream in this blog post:
I gave up on liquid eyeliner for a good 6 months. I just couldn’t figure out how to do the wing and not make myself look like I have raccoon eyes. Then I got a sample of this with an Ulta purchase and my life hasn’t been the same since. Okay, a little dramatic, BUT, the first time I tried it I got a perfect thin line with the perfect wing on both eyes. I thought maybe I just got really lucky. Then I kept using it and it was still turning out looking how it was supposed to! Either I finally figured it out, or this eyeliner is foolproof. I’m going to go with the latter. I’ll pick this over a high end eyeliner all day!
What are some of the best beauty products you discovered this year?
