I am super excited to be reviewing this insanely hyped beauty product, Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, for you guys today! I was hesitant to spend $80 on a skincare product that claims to be like an at home facial because honestly… yeah right. How could something in a bottle come close to an actual facial?! but I have had several people tell me how incredible it was so I just had to find out for myself. Anyways, lets dive in!
What Drunk Elephant’s Babyfacial Claims to do:
Drunk Elephant’s Babyfacial is a “facial” that uses a 25% AHA/ 2% BHA blend of glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids to resurface the skin to reveal clearer skin, improved skin texture and tone and a more youthful radiance. AKA: it minimizes the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles while making your skin bright and radiant! …quite the sales pitch
What it’s Formulated With:
Babyfacial is formulated with 25 percent AHA/ 2% BHA blend of glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acidsc hickpea flour, pumpkin ferment, and a soothing antioxidant blend of matcha tea, milk thistle, and apple. Something I was SO happy to read about was that none of their products are formulated with essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical screens, fragrance/dyes, or SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). All of the things found in many beauty and skincare products that are terrible for our skin and made it do all sorts of crazy things! I did a blog post on ingredients you want to ignore if you are interested in learning more about that. Brands who make 100% clean products are really hard to find, but they make all the difference in my skin. Anyways, because of this, I was confident that my skin wasn’t going to breakout or have a reaction when using this product.
How is Babyfacial Applied?
You’ll apply Babyfacial to clean dry skin. Ideally, you want to put a thin layer allover your face and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then you’ll rinse with warm water and pat dry.
- Instant Glow
I was sold on this product the first time I used it! It did for me exactly what it claimed to do. It didn’t irritate my skin at all, which easily could have happened because of the amount of glycolic acid in it. The tingling sensation was uncomfortable but easily bearable. As soon as I removed the facial I immediately noticed how bright my skin looked, and how soft it felt. My texture was gone and I especially noticed a difference in my pores around my nose and cheeks. It removed all of my blackheads and almost looked like I had peeled off a layer of my skin thats how clean and fresh it looked!
Would I Repurchase Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial?
A million times, yes! It really is like a quick at home facial. I have been using this product once a week since I bought this bottle back in December. I can’t imagine myself without it! It is one of my favorite products right now, and if you are on the fence about making the investment, I hope this review made you feel a little more at ease! I’m always 100% honest about these products I try because I know many of them are expensive and there’s few things worse than spending $80 on a beauty product that doesn’t work.
